Coromandel to Fletcher's Bay

Fletcher's Bay

February 27, 2005

We hit the road early today in hopes that we could get in a hike around the peninsula. The drive was another excellent one and the views were spectacular. We couldn't find the hiking trail so we decided to continue to head up the road to Fletcher's Bay which was literally the end of the road. Once we arrived we found the Coromandel Trail and were happy to get the opportunity to get out of the car for a bit. The hike encapsulated everything one would imagine about New Zealand; sheep herds, Lord of the Rings pastures and vast ocean views.
