Chiang Mai

International Mini-Golf Tour

May 13, 2005

The 2nd and 3rd round of the Cubicle Boycott International Mini-Golf Tour commenced today in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Tina came in to todays first round with her 1st place ranking after beating the crap out of Craig two months ago in Lake Tekapo, New Zealand. She easily won the New Zealand match by 30 strokes, even with Craig's amazing hole-in-one shot on the 2nd hole where he used a chipping stroke with his putter to cut off the hole, bounce around the rocks, and somehow dropping into the cup. Both competitors jaws dropped when the ball went into the hole. It truly was an amazing shot.

Todays competitors were driven out to the course today in the luxury of a tuk tuk to start off the days events. Tina came out strong at the beginning of the first round on the 3rd hole with an incredible bank shot for a hole-in-one. You could see the worry in Craig's eyes after she made this shot. It looked like he was beginning to worry about back-to-back loses. Craig thought his luck was turning around when he made a straight in hole-one-shot on the 7th hole, but Tina walked away from the hole with a two only allowing Craig to gain one stroke on the hole.

The wonderfully designed 12th hole where the ball must shoot off a ramp into the pouch of a kangaroo was dominated by Tina with yet another hole-one-shot. Craig completed the hole in a miserable 5 strokes giving Tina even a bigger lead. Tina won this 2nd round of the tour with score of 58 while Craig came in a close 2nd with a 65.

With back-to-back loses Craig was ready get his first win of the tour and so they started the second round. Craig started off strong by getting a hole-in-one on the 3rd hole. He commented, "I copied the same bank shot Tina did the first round." With a serious look in his eye Craig continued to finish the holes with only 2 or 3 strokes while Tina did seem as serious and struggled through the 3rd round. Craig had back-to-back hole-in-one shots on the 7th hole, but Tina followed up with her own hole-in-one on the 7th hole. Craig also had a hole-one shot on the 8th hole where Tina had to concede with 4 stokes giving Craig the much needed lead and the confidence for the rest of the round. The famous kangaroo designed 12th hole was not as nice as it was in the 1st round for Tina. She had to take the max limit 7 stroke penalty while Craig was able to make it in 2 strokes. Craig was able to find his 1st win of the tour with a 50 while Tina finished with a 62.

I hope you will join us for the next round of the Cubicle Boycott International Mini-Golf Tour. Next location still being determined.
