Full Moon Party
July 23, 2005
The party was wild. We were mostly spectators and not participants. At the end of the night, 5 am for us, we had to walk over bodies passed out on the beach. The party was still going strong and most people we talked to the next day didn't get home until 8 am. We started the night with a great BBQ at our place. It was the birthday of the owners son and one of the guests at the guesthouse. They grilled up a King Fish and Chicken. The fish was amazing. The whole chicken was placed over a Beer Chang bottle half full over water. Next, they placed a big square tin can over the top of the chicken a used old coconut shells as fuel for the fire.
The chicken was delicious. They made sweat and sour vegetables with rice for Tina and this was tasty as well. We were glad to see the Full Moon Party and just as glad to be semi-participants. It was too loud to talk to our friends Paul and Dan and we didn't get to seem them much. Looking back, I wish we would have stayed in Saigon, Vietnam one more day to see the war tunnels and I wished we would have spent another day in Phnom Penh, Cambodia instead of rushing to get to this party.
