Today we took a 4 hour bus ride from Nha Trang to Mui Ne. Upon entering the town the landscape got very dry and resembled Mexico in many ways. We noticed the sand dunes as well which are some of the areas main tourist sights. The bus driver found us a really nice bungalow right on the beach for $10 and we were in a complete state of relaxation within minutes. We walked along the beach to find some lunch and watched the kite and wind surfers having fun catching some major air and waves. It was really windy out today so they were having a ball. We checked out the prices to have some lessons but they required more time than we would have so we'll have to try some other time.
Most of our time spent in Mui Ne consisted of shell collecting, running along the beach and playing with the local dogs. This area and the feel of the place make it one of my favorites in Vietnam. It really had a nice vibe and great for families and couples who want to relax as there were absolutely no vendors hawking any of their goods along any of the beach. Hopefully the town doesn't get too commercialized as more people visit. We wished we could've stayed even longer but our visas run out in 3 days so we needed to make our way down to Saigon.
