Cheap Souvenirs

January 19, 2006

It was our last full day in Morocco today, so we made sure to finish our shopping for cheap souvenirs today. The morning was rainy and we had no desire to get out of bed, so we didn't. How are we ever going to have 8-5 jobs again? I don't think we will. Anyway, we finally got out the door some time before noon as the rain turned into a slight drizzle. We didn't have a map of the town so we just started walking looking for the medina. We found it without too much trouble, but soon found out the tourist souvenirs we've seen throughout the rest of Morocco were slim pickings here. Oops, picking this as the last town before we leave the country to buy souvenirs may have not the smartest idea. However, with some digging around and some hard negotiating we were able to get most of items we wanted and at a good price. We finished the night with one last traditional meal. I had the kefta tajine and Tina had the vegetarian couscous.

Tomorrow we will head back to Spain to visit Cordoba and Seville before entering into Portugal.
